The Student Travels team is a energetic and fun group of professionals in the hospitality and events industry. We are passionate about welcoming international students to Canada and supporting them along every step of their journey to Canada.
Main Responsibilities include:
Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and hotels
Plan accommodations details and aspects, including meals - menu, timing, delivery, dietary restrictions, etc.
Manage package changes from students via Aventri, communicating all changes to related hotels and vendors in a timely manner
Assist with managing airport transportation manifests and communicate bookings and changes regularly
Assist with managing communication lists of students registered for program to SIM Card provider PhoneBox ensuring smooth delivery of SIM cards Assist with managing student lists for GuardMe Insurance, uploading daily to GuardMe website
Work with registration lists, rooming lists and meal requests to collect required data and process information as necessary
Managing schedules and addressing potential problems that may arise
Participate in daily briefing meetings and weekly status update calls as needed
Work in tandem with other team members to ensure clear communication across program
Maintain a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events Assist with ad-hoc projects as they arise
The ideal candidate will:
Have a strong attention to detail
Be reliable and accountable
Have a minimum of 1-2 years work experience in the event/hospitality industry
Be creative and resourceful, with strong attention to detail
Have the ability to organize data well and retrieve data as needed
Be self-driven and able to conduct independent research
Have excellent oral and written communication skills in English Bilingual
