About The Student Travels

Infinity Pool

Hi, I’m Lauren!

I have just finished an English Literature degree and, as a recent graduate, I need to keep things cheap especially when it comes to the luxury of travel.

This blog will be exploring the difficulties of balancing life after uni, post-partying poverty and the travel bug.

Swiss Chalet

I have always enjoyed travel, from the summer holidays I took as a kid to my own round-the-world backpacker adventure.

So I’m planning a #GapLife. Think endless ‘Gap Year’ and you’re on the right track.

It’s a plan that will satisfy my need for travel and allow my neglected creative side to flourish.

I want my life to be different, inspired and interesting. I want to be kept on my toes and I want to explore.

Why shouldn’t everyday be an adventure?

Barbados Beach

I stuff this blog full of travelling adventures, past and present. You can find stories and tips from my 2011 ‘Gap Yah’ escapades, anecdotes from girly holidays and romantic weekends and soon lots more from my upcoming move to Australia via the beautiful Philippines.

I hope you enjoy and please feel free to comment and let me know how I’m doing, hopefully some of the articles will be useful!

The Student Travels may have graduated but you haven’t seen anything from her yet!

Incredible. I think you’re like a female version of me – well, when it comes to your travel philosophy and the reason you choose to travel. I too believe in seeking out adventures, traveling and being creative. After one more course I’ve graduate Law school and then go on a lifetime of traveling, volunteering and creativity seeking adventures.
Just started my blog too: http://www.inshanetraveler.com
